Thanksgiving Food Drive

Olivia Squillante , Staff Writer

Every year Merion has an annual fall food drive that benefits those in need in our area. This year’s food drive theme is “Blast off from Hunger.” Students collect food items to create Thanksgiving meals for 25 families from Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. Faculty and staff have the opportunity to purchase ShopRite gift cards for items like meat and other refrigerated goods. The members of the ministry team help organize the meals and drop them off.

“It is such a beautiful thing to be able to give back to the community and help those who are less fortunate” – Audrey DeLucca ‘20.

Thanks to this food drive, now many families in need can enjoy a nice Thanksgiving meal because of the generous faculty, staff, and students who helped make it possible.
