On March 13th, the junior class came together at Malvern Retreat House for their retreat day— a day of fun activities, uniting with each other, and reflecting back at their, and others, time at Merion. Lead by junior members of the ministry team, the 102 girls engaged in activities ranging from Merion trivia to bracelet making. The girls also shared and bonded over personal experiences, and of course, wrote the annual letter to themselves, in which they will receive next year. They participated in spiritual and reflective time as well. The day was rooted in mercy, and emphasized unity— specifically their class rings. Through hearing ring stories from alumnae, as well as from their own classmates, the girls all connected and prepared for their ring mass on the same night. The memorable day ended with the class receiving their rings, a tangible symbol that will remind them of their time at Merion, and connect them to so many other women of mercy as a part of the sisterhood. After their retreat and ring mass, the juniors now feel united more than ever, and are all officially sisters in mercy. Congratulations to the class of 2019 on their special day!
