Father-Daughter Service Project

Father-Daughter+Service+Project

“Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”  – Howard Zinn

On April 13, fathers and daughters of the Merion Mercy community gathered at Bartram Gardens, located in Philadelphia, for a day of service. The volunteers at Bartram Gardens welcomed all of us warmly and organized a very memorable day. There was a lot of work to be done. Some worked in the orchards, others worked on making a wood chip path in the garden. Fathers and daughters also planted flowers, worked in the greenhouse, and pulled out weeds. The day was full of hands-on service and it was a very great way to give back to the community. It felt good to work outside and make a difference just by simply helping out for a few hours. It was truly a great experience for both dads and daughters and tightened the bond between them. I highly recommend attending the Father-Daughter Service Project next year in order to make a visible difference in your community.
