Merion Mixer

“The best night ever!” – Francesca Angelo ‘21

September 14th, 2018 was not just a regular day at Merion Mercy, but rather one filled with excitement. The Gym, Lyceum, and Dining Commons were transformed from your everyday school to a safari field. Students, or should we say safari animals and tourists,  piled into the Gym to celebrate the Merion Mixer!

The mixer is an annual tradition at Merion, and some would call it “the best night ever!” This year, the mixer’s theme was Safari. This was in correlation with the school year’s theme, “AdventuroUS in Mercy,” because there’s no us and them, just us.

When asked to describe the wonderful night in one word, Sophomore Cate Aaron said, “spirited, but that’s an understatement.” Kathryn Gallagher, a Freshman, said, “being a freshman it was really fun to be in an environment to meet new people and have a good time.” Besides the student commentary, it was evident by the smiles and cheers that filled the school that the mixer was once again a success. I am sure everybody is already looking forward to next year’s mixer!
