Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

It’s finally October which marks the beginning of cold weather, sweaters, and, most importantly, pumpkin flavored foods! Here is a perfect recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies that adds a twist to an old favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine pumpkin, sugar, vegetable oil, and egg.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Dissolve the baking soda into the milk and stir in.
  4. Add the pumpkin mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Add vanilla, chocolate chips, and nuts.
  6. Bake cookies on a cookie sheet for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
