Mock Trial Wrap Up
“It’s not about the girl you are today, but the woman you will become tomorrow” – Mr. Clementi
Back in November, the Merion Mock Trial Team sat down together for the first time to discuss this season’s case. Both the Gold and Blue Teams spent countless hours preparing for their trials. The season began with a winning streak; both teams advanced to district finals, a first for Merion Mock Trial in years.
When the season finished, the Blue Team, composed primarily of freshmen and sophomores, placed third in the district competition. The upperclassmen Gold Team were crowned district champions and just fell short of advancing to regionals. These amazing young women continue to bring honor and glory to Merion Mercy throughout competitions, practices, and their astonishing results.
On behalf of Merion Mock Trial, we would like to thank Mr. Paul Clementi and Mrs. Suzanne Walker for their dedication to leading and coaching Merion’s two astonishing teams. We would also like to thank our attorney advisors: Mrs. Elise Bradley, Ms. Sandra Urban, and Mr. John Dougherty. Without their help, Merion Mock Trial would not be the exceptional program it is today.
Finally, we would like to thank our four amazing seniors and wish them the best of luck as they begin college. To Claire, Ava, Sam, and Payton, we thank you for everything and are so excited to see where the world takes you. Remember, you will always have a home here at Merion Mercy!
