On Friday, February 7, Merion Mercy held its annual Soph Hop dance for grades 9 and 10. Decorations conveyed the Tangled and Twirls theme, with strings of lights and stars with purple and pink lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the Lyceum and purple lantern centerpieces decorating all of the tables. In the gym, stars projected on the wall framed the purple backdrop and giant sun. Between dances, students enjoyed the pretzel nugget trays and ice cream sundae bar in the dining commons and had fun being photographed in various Tangled-themed accessories at the professionally staffed photo booth.
